Parish Nursing
Parish nursing or faith community nursing is a professional model of health ministry utilizing a registered professional nurse or nurses. The main focus of the ministry is the health promotion and disease prevention of the members of the congregation and members of the community as well. The parish nurse functions as an integrator of faith and health, health educator, personal health counselor, referral agent, trainer of volunteers, developer of support groups and health advocate.
The first Sunday of every month, following praise and worship, our parish nurse team provides free blood pressure screenings and is available to discuss any concerns that you might have regarding your health. This is done in a quiet and private setting and is strictly confidential. Feel free to come and worship with us and take advantage of this service.
